Our goal is to have a diverse, inclusive group of women (and families—and anyone who supports human rights) on a
bus specifically for Evanstonians so that our journey to DC is a community-building experience—and just as important
as the destination. This will be a great way to get to the rally and stand up against bigotry, sexism, racism, homophobia, anti-Semitism, and anti-LGBTQ rhetoric — and to spend time getting to know other Evanston folks — without having
to pay a lot to fly, or to stay at a hotel.

What to expect on our journey...
We are all excited to be part of the historic Women’s March on Washington. Traveling together with a group of Evanstonians will make the trip even more meaningful. The beauty of a bus ride to/from DC, is that it is less expensive than flying and paying for a hotel. The challenge is that there will be 55 riders on each of our four buses attempting
to relax, eat, sleep and use the on-board restroom for the 26+ hours it is estimated we will be on the bus Friday and
Saturday nights.
Does 26+ hours on a bus in January sound like fun?
Our journey will be fun if we keep in mind...
... why we are on the bus, and what we all hope to accomplish in DC and beyond.
... that it's January, and we must prepare and dress appropriately.
... that there may be hiccups in our travel plans or logistics, but we will get through them successfully, especially if
we keep a sense of humor.
... that we're all in this together! Please remember that, as your faithful organizers, our role was to help you find
an inexpensive way to get to DC with a group of fellow Evanstonians! We won't be able to control
any of the snafus we may face on the bus or when we get to DC. But we will happily brainstorm and work
together to resolve any challenges that arise!
